Privacy Policy

This policy covers Logbook Check, a service of Bay Area Beechcraft, operated by MSXpert LLC. It says what we collect, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

• The aircraft. The tail number you enter and its public FAA registry record.
• Your uploads. The logbooks and FAA records you upload. These often contain names, addresses, signatures and certificate numbers of owners and mechanics.
• Payment. Stripe collects your card details and the email you give at checkout. We receive the payment’s status; we never see your full card number.
• IA reviews. If you buy an IA review, the email address and any note you give us, so the IA can send you the review and answer your questions.
• Server logs. Our web servers keep standard access logs: IP address, page requested and time.

We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Your browser’s local storage remembers your report in progress and any beta code on that device; it stays on your device.

How we use it

To read your records, write your report, show it to people who have its link, take payment, answer your questions and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information or use it for marketing.

Who else sees it

• Stripe processes payments.
• OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (currently Google, Anthropic, Alibaba and OpenAI) receive page images and text from your uploads in order to read and summarize them.
• The FAA and the Federal Register receive the tail number and AD numbers we look up. Both are public records.
• Google Fonts serves the site’s fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
• Anyone with your report’s link can see the report and download its records. See our Terms.

All connections use TLS encryption. We share nothing with anyone not listed here, except where the law requires it.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Reports and uploads are stored on servers we run ourselves. We keep them so your report’s link keeps working. Email us and we will delete a report and its files within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for it to be deleted, by emailing us. These rights apply to everyone, including people covered by the GDPR and CCPA. The service is not meant for children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
